The team at Graph Paper Press started Visual Society to help users get a WordPress site up and running quickly, minus the cost and headaches associated with starting the process from scratch.
Graph Paper Press Pro accounts are fully managed web hosting accounts that come with WordPress and our themes pre-installed. You have email, DNS management and the ability to upload new themes and plugins. Visual Society Pro accounts are hosted on a shared WordPress install, and thus, you don’t have full control over WordPress or the server.
If you have a Free Visual Society account, you can upgrade to the Pro Visual Society account by clicking on the Pro account link on the left side of the page in WordPress.
If you have a Free or Pro Visual Society account and you want to upgrade to the Graph Paper Press Pro account, you need to sign-up on this page.
Visual Society Free & Pro accounts are run off of one WordPress MU installation. All users share the same themes, but, are able to customize their themes using those options available on the theme options page. Allowing users to upload new themes and plugins or modify existing themes and plugins would create major security issues. Your site’s security is of the utmost important to us. If you would like to upload new themes & plugins or change code on your theme files, you will need to upgrade to a Graph Paper Press Pro account.
With a Graph Paper Press Pro account, you will receive FTP access, email capabilities and access 24-7-365 server support provided by RackSpaceCloud.com. SSH access is not included. Support inquiries related to WordPress, design or general website questions should be directed to the Graph Paper Press support forum. You are responsible for the ongoing maintenance of your site. If you want to customize your site beyond those options available to you on the theme options panel of your theme design, and you don’t know HTML, CSS, or PHP, you will need to hire a developer.
